Prichard's response to Snow's letter in the March 20 issue of the journal. Prichard criticizes Snow's views on ether and chloroform. He predicts that anesthetic agents will gradually fall into disuse except for very severe operations. Snow's letter in the 3 April issue concluded the exchanges between the two medical men.
